FAITH DOES NOT STAND ALONE.

This takes study & practice!

On Monday 26th. May we celebrate our very first Birthday for Spirit Life Christian Church!  Eight of us gathered in our home, exactly one year ago.  The number ‘8’ speaks of new beginnings, & exactly one week later we held our very first public meeting.   Now one whole year has passed!

The Lord has done so much, as we stepped out by faith to pioneer a church on the Gold Coast of Australia.   Many have joined with us, & in my research & study, as to what the Lord would have me minister, I have done an extensive study on faith.   Faith does not stand alone!   Many of us have been waiting for the things that we have prayed earnestly for, to come to pass.   Some are still waiting!   I needed to understand why these prayers have not been answered.

God the Father & the Son are on the planet Heaven.   We are on the earth, & a ‘Faith line’ connects us.  We, the people of God, are different as we live in two realms.   The ‘natural’ & the ‘spiritual’ – two different worlds.   We have two Fathers = Freaks.   We have been born twice, & we look at the ‘seen’ & the ‘unseen’ – the visible & the invisible.

Let’s look at what stands with faith, as it does not stand alone.

1. Hebrews 6:12 ‘that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith & patience, inherit   the promises.
Firstly, faith & patience stand together.  I see it this way.
If you have a TV or radio antenna, that stands tall in the air.
This stands supported by 3 guy wires, fastened to keep it upright.   The connection to the Father in Heaven from our lives is the ‘faith line’.  Just like a TV antenna.
The first guy wire is PATIENCE.   Romans 12:12 Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.   So tribulation produces patience.

2. Hebrews 11:1   now faith is the substance of things hoped the evidence of things not seen.   So in this we see faith & hope working together.    Hebrews 6:19   this hope that we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure & steadfast, & which enters the presence behind the veil.
                  So here we see faith & hope standing together.

3. Galatians 5:6 for in Christ Jesus neither circumcision, nor        uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.   Wow, faith & love standing together!

So, it is evident that the three things that stand with Faith – Patience Hope & Love!   Which become the three guy wires that hold up the faith line to God.

Supposing you have been praying & believing God for a long time for someone to be saved, or some other prayer request, & you have not seen the answer come!   Why is this?

The devil cannot get your faith – e.g.  Your faith is attached to you, even as your hands are!   He can get you out of patience, or get you out of hope, or out of love!    Every time that happens, the ‘faith antenna’ falls to the ground, & your connection to God is disrupted.  As in the natural, if you were to cut one of the guy wires to an aerial the wind will blow it over!

So what happens with us – we are standing in faith believing God, wondering why our prayer has not been answered.   We have severed one of the guy wires, by becoming angry with someone or some situation & the devil has succeeded getting us out of ‘love’ – bang our connection is broken!    We pick ourselves up out of the dust, & plug into God again!
These things happen all the time.  The devil gets us out of patience, out of hope, out of love & we disconnect from the source of supply i.e. The Throne Room.

Please draw a picture of your antenna, with the three guy wires.  Write on each of these – the names of your guy wires – patience, hope & love.

You must realize that when things go wrong, it’s not your wife, it’s not your children, it’s not the circumstances, it is a devil cutting down your faith line to God.   In conclusion – stay plugged in long enough for God to answer your prayer.

Please read these scriptures, & meditate on them.  Think about your own situation, where you have experienced this, & re-examine your actions & attitudes.    Start expecting answers to your prayers!
