Stuart & I wish to celebrate God’s goodness with you, & we pray your Christmas is happy & blessed!
The year seems to have gone so fast, & so much has happened in all our lives. At the beginning of the 2009 year, our son Alan was lining our Church Office at our home address & now we have enjoyed our prayer meetings Tuesdays, & teaching day on a Thursday morning, & the youth have also been using it for Friday night EQUIP gatherings with Blake our Youth Leader. It has been such a blessing having room for the Office.
We now have a House Church established at Tweed Heads NSW, & are believing for a Community Hall, in order to change that to a Friday night Outreach for Spirit Life Tweed. Having 2 churches is keeping us very busy, & I must say that without our Admin. helper Christiana, things would never have run so smoothly. We have many people that we thank God for, who have been such a blessing in setting up things correctly, & lawfully. Karlene helped us initially with all the legalities required, & our Quickbook system & has continued to guide us.
Spirit Life is growing & we are continuing to see new faces coming, & families adding to our growing Ready Steady Go Kids Church, with Nicole doing a great job at the helm. Check us out on www.slcchurch.com.au It is now possible to access the preaching messages, through this site.
Ray & Kumi, our son & daughter-in-law have been such a help as we have been pioneering & I doubt that we could have tackled so much without their constant help in so many ways.
We plan to spend time with family over the Christmas period, & enjoy our family & our grandchildren. They are all growing rapidly, & Hannah our eldest has graduated from Year 12, & intending to attend University in 2010. I had the honour of attending Hannah’s Music Recital, which she played so passionately, it brought tears to my eyes. Ray & Kumi have given us a lovely surprise – we are to have another grandchild (13) arriving in early May 2010. It will be lovely as we have had a seven year gap, so this baby will be very spoilt by us all.
On the 2nd. Of January, we plan to gather at Sarah & Paul’s home to celebrate coming to Australia 25 yrs ago. Actually it was 3rd. January, but as that will be a Sunday we must celebrate it on the Saturday, so we can all relax around the pool, & eat good food once again! We came to Australia, with just ourselves & our three children, Alan, Ray & Sarah & now we have grown to a large family, that has been so blessed by that step of ‘faith’ 25 years ago!
In April we are planning to return to Arkansas for a short 3 week visit, & when we have set up our Itinerary we will post it on our web site. Nothing has been planned as yet, but we are feeling very excited about it. We have been told that there will be a vehicle for us to drive, so that has been an answer to prayer. We are now believing for our airfares. The points system has changed, & now we have only enough for one fare on our points & must buy the other one.
We wish you all a safe & happy time with family & friends & look forward to 2010 with great anticipation.
